 Missionaries to Japan   Dear Supporters and Friends, The hymn-writer penned these words many years ago but how true they remain today: "The church's one foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord." How thankful we are that Christ is the true cornerstone and that our faith rests on the sure foundation. This month the Lord allowed Grace Kobe Baptist Church to lay another foundation, the foundation for the new church building, which we trust will be used to bring many Japanese to know the true and living Saviour. On the back of this letter are pictures taken during the pouring and finishing of Phase One of this project. Thank you for your prayers and support during this time as the work went verv smoothly and the Lord gave us good weather. Praise: 1. Mrs. Kubo and Mrs. Yabumoto accepted Christ during December. Pray for their spiritual growth and continued attendance on Sunday Mrs. Kubo has three children who attend Sunday School and are leaming their memory verses each week. 2. 87 people attended the Christmas services and several unsaved are attending every Sunday 3. Many of you sent Christmas cards, letters, and special Christmas gifts. Thank you for your love shown to us during the holiday season. 4. David and Elisabeth had a lovely wedding and are now settled back into teaching and serving the Lord at Lancaster Baptist Church Prayer REQUESTS 1. March 23 through April 9 we will be framing the new church building. We are asking the Lord for 15 skilled workers who would be willing to come and help with this project. At present we still lack $30,000 4. For Sarah as she completes her college work and looks to the Lord for His direction for the future. 5. For Daniel as he finishes up his first year of college. He hopes to bring a couple of friends to Japan for a week this summer. They are missions majors and are asking the Lord's leading in the area of missions. 6. For David and Mary as they homeschool here in Japan and for Ralph and Janet as they serve at Grace Kobe Baptist Church and Kansai Independent Baptist Bible School.
