Pastor Mark L. Hopkins


Mark L. Hopkins has been pastor of New Freedom Baptist church for 36 years, since May 1968. He is a faithful man of God, a strong leader who feeds his people with the uncompromised word of God, and has a tender compassion for winning lost souls to Christ. A graduate of Bob Jones University, he believes in using the (KJV) Bible. He is a wonderful pastor, a godly counselor, and a great example.

Pastor Hopkins is also the founder and administrator of New Freedom Christian Schools. Beginning its 31st year of operation, its graduates have gone on to distinguish themselves in a variety of careers. Pastor Hopkins has been married to his lovely wife, Mary, for 46 years and has four children and eleven grandchildren.
