Oct 7, 1924 The first fire apparatus was ordered. This was a 4 tank chemical truck from LaFrance.
The Loganville Borough paid for it, then sold it to the fire co. for $1.00.

Mar 9, 1938 Fire hose was bought. 800ft of 2 ˝” and 200 ft of 1 ˝” from the Fabric Fire Hose Co. of
Baltimore + 2 small nozzles at a total of $950.60.

Mar 3, 1939 A trailer is being built to carry the hose.

Nov 26 1943 A motion by Millard Trout and second by Melvin Wildasin to purchase a new
fire truck. $5400. (Ford American LaFrance)

Nov 22, 1944 The Ford American LaFrance arrived.

Oct 4, 1963 The 1944 Fire Engine was sold to Fantasy Land for $1000.00


Feb 2, 1945 Sold the chemical fire truck for $200 to Nashville Fire Co.

June 1, 1945 Hose carts given to the boy scouts. (Recycle drive?)


Aug 5, 1955 Purchased the 1952 Chevy Panel Van


Dec 13, 1957 1st Motorola radio was bought for $634.00 for fire truck.

April 5, 1963 Voted to Purchase 1962 ford American LaFrance for $15,700.

May 6, 1963 New Ford arrived (750 GPM w/ 500 Gal tank)

April 5, 1988 Accepted bid by Wilson’s Fire Apparatus of $9007 for 1962 Ford


Engine 63-2 1974 Ford/FMC/Bean

Feb 18, 1974 Special meeting: Vote to purchase 1974 Ford. John Bean fire truck for $33, 225.78 from Tipton Indiana.

April 4, 1989 Motion to accept the bid of $21, 860 from Jon’s for Engine 63-2 (1974 Ford Bean) later revised to $20, 560


Tanker 63 1967 REO/Bruco Paid $16,551.00

Oct, 5, 1982 Truck Committee decided to look for a used tanker and refurbish 63-1.

Feb 1, 1983 Truck committee recommends a 1967 REO equipped w/ 2000 Gal tank and
a 750 GPM front mount pump from Midway Fire co in Enola PA for $16,551.

Oct 17, 1983 Motion to add power steering to REO $2000.

April 4, 1989 Motion to accept bid of $8900 from Southeast Rutherford, Tenn. for the REO Tanker.

Mar 3, 1987 Motion to buy a 1976 CF Mack form Grantley for $60K

Refurbished in 1991


Service 63 1979 Chevy/Reading

Aug 4, 1992 Motion made to buy a 1979 Chevy Service Truck from Sinking Springs Fire Dept for $25,000.


1996 Purchase Engine 63-1 from (4) Guys

2001 Purchase Utility 63. Chevy Diesel pickup

2003 Reacquired 1944 Ford American LaFrance from restorer in Ohio.
