What are Volksmarches???
Volksmarch is a German word literally meaning ``a peoples' walk". Volksmarching is an exciting, non-competitive sport devoted to physical fitness through walking. No athletic prowess is necessary. Just a desire to promote a healthy lifestyle and love for the beauty of nature. Volksmarches are family-oriented activities for all age groups, from toddlers to seasoned citizens. You can walk alone or with others to share their joy of good health and friendly companionship. Everyone who walks finishes as a winner!
For those who are interested, the Volkssport Association also has available from time to time Biking, Swimming, and Cross-country Skiing events.
